| Abstract: | The ants of Hypoponera in Japan are preliminarily revised and redescribed. H. bondroiti (Forel) comb. nov., gleadowi Forel, and sauteri (Forel) comb et stat. nov. are new to Japan. The identities of H. nippiona (Santschi) and excoecata (Wheeler) are clarified. The latter is excluded from the Japanese fauna. |
