Platythyrea parallela

Platythyrea parallela (Smith) is most likely introduced in the Pacific. It's been found in disturbed coastal habitats in Fiji, and the earliest records are in the very recent past. I'm not sure of what ecological effects it might have as an introduced species, but if it has established on Fiji it wouldn't be surprising to see it pop up elsewhere in the Pacific.
