The ventral margin of the head is entire and lacks a distinct notch just anterior to the eyes. Used in Antkey to separate Strumigenys godeffroyi, Strumigenys lanuginosa, Strumigenys lewisi and Strumigenys silvestrii from Strumigenys rogeri.
