Cardiocondyla minutior

Cardiocondyla minutior is a small, dark inconspicuous species. The workers are monomorphic, move very slowly and tend not to recruit in high numbers. They do not tend to dominate baits. The species is impossible to tell from Cardiocondyla kagutsuchi in the field.

Notice the two workers at the bottom left of the screen are recruiting using the 'tandem running' method in which one worker leads a single second worker from the nest to the food resource.
