Leptogenys falcigera is unmistakable among the species included in Antkey. It is very large, dull black, has long linear mandibles and a projecting triangular clypeus. In the field it runs very quickly, sometimes solitarily and sometimes with a small pack of nestmates. The foragers from these videos were nesting in a tree cavity.
