Technomyrmex vitiensis is impossible to distinguish in the field from Technomyrmex albipes and Technomyrmex difficilis. All three are small black species with contrasting white tarsi. They are especially fond of tending hemipterans for their honeydew. They tend to forage arboreally and do not tend to dominate baits.
